TitleDefining the concept of Pedago-Ludic Alignment through the alignment of models from the literature.
AbstractSerious games make learning more engaging through the combination of learning and play, enhancing motivation and information retention. However, balancing pedagogy and playfulness within such tools remains a challenge. My thesis aims to identify a pedagogical-playful alignment model designed to facilitate the design of serious games where playful engagement effectively serves educational objectives. Ultimately, the goal is to promote the sharing of serious games or their subcomponents.
To date, my work has focused on comparing existing models in the literature. Indeed, their heterogeneity makes it difficult to identify similarities and differences. To address this challenge, I proposed a comparison method by transcribing the models into UML diagrams and adopting a structural analysis of the taxonomies.
